With a little bit of extra love, you can dress up your gammon to the nines: perfect for the ultimate Christmas feast. Perfect for celebrations!


1x Gammon
2 onions roughly chopped
Handful fresh thyme

Orange Glazed Pineapple:

1x fresh pineapple / 2x 400g tins of sliced pineapple rounds
30g butter
2 garlic cloves; minced
1 tbsp. fresh ginger; grated
1 tbsp. paprika
2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 cup orange juice
Salt and pepper



  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C.
  2. Boil the gammon with onion and thyme for 1 hour. Put aside.

Orange-Glazed Pineapple:

  1. Prepare pineapple and set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter, and sauté garlic and ginger.
  2. Add paprika, Dijon mustard and sugar. Pour in orange juice. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Let it simmer until it thickens. Pour glaze over your prepared pineapple. Place pineapple into the oven and grill. Keep basting until the whole pineapple is caramelised.
  4. Once the pineapple is ready, add it to your gammon and pin using toothpicks. Alternatively, serve alongside the gammon for each guest to serve up for themselves.
